Coming September 2026

The Local Spots.

Coffee, food, parks, and the places
locals know.

Tourists go to the places with the most Google reviews. Locals go to the places where they know the owner's name. After seven months in Cedar City, here's what Joanna and I have figured out.

A Preview

What's coming first.

Three places that'll be in the first edition. The list grows from here.

01.

Morning Coffee

Grind Coffeehouse

Where I take morning meetings. Real beans, real people, real wifi. The kind of place where you'll see the same regulars three days in a row and start nodding hello by week two.

Downtown · Walk-friendly

02.

After-Hike Reward

Centro Woodfired Pizzeria

Drive back from Cedar Breaks dusty and hungry. Sit on the patio. Order anything woodfired. The truffle pizza if it's on the board. Worth the wait.

Main Street · Reservations help

03.

Underrated Spot

Three Peaks Recreation Area

Locals know. Tourists don't. Free BLM land 10 minutes west of town. Mountain bike trails, dog-friendly walks, and the kind of sunsets that make you forget to take a photo. Bring water.

West of Cedar City · Free

Each spot will get its own full breakdown when the first Local Spots edition drops. Photos, hours, what to order, why to bother.
